For those who have been missing the “Love At First Spike” barkada, especially main cast members Emilio Daez, Reign Parani, and Sean Tristan, here’s little treat for you—a video of them together playing the fun and thrilling “Category Game” during their guesting in an episode of Kapamilya Chat!
In this challenge, the three of them somehow demonstrated the same level of competitiveness that their characters Uno, Farrah, and Jared had shown on the court as varsity volleyball players. They had to alternately utter a word that would correspond to the categories mentioned by the host, with each round ending after one of them gave wrong answers.
For the first category, which was items usually being brought to taping, it was Reign who ran out of ideas. Meanwhile, it was Sean who ended the second round after he mentioned (and even tried to defend) that beef or corned beef can be an ingredient of sinigang, or the traditional sour soup or stew dish.
Through the third category, we found out that Emilio is really not a fan of Disney Princesses, except Mulan. While Sean and Reign were able to quickly give their answers, it took Emilio a lot of effort to respond. Thus, just for the sake of answering, he resorted to uttering the names of “Princess Mia,” which he’s probably been hearing or seeing on the news since the Anne Hathaway-starrer “Princess Diaries 3” is currently in the works, and of the late “Princess Diana.”
It was the fourth category, which was animals that can be turned into pets, wherein they had the longest rally. It only stopped when Sean had already run out of ideas and came up with “elephant” after Emilio and Reign mentioned exotic animals.
The last category was volleyball violations, which they were expected to ace since their characters in “Love At First Spike” were volleyball players, not to mention that Reign is among the perennial players in the annual Star Magic All-Star Games. However, Sean failed to figure out the term for the violation that was on her head.
Just in case you’re missing Emilio, Reign, Sean, and the rest of the “Love At First Spike” squad, or just wanting to revisit the kilig, lighthearted, and heartwarming moments in the series, you may watch it over and over again via iWant.
