Patrick (Joshua Garcia) arrives to find the patients huddled together, with Bella (Bianca De Vera) in tears after being triggered by Mia (Anne Curtis) raising her voice at her for asking about their lesson for the day. He comforts Bella and instructs Kai (Louise Abuel) to take her to Nurse Patty (Alyssa Muhlach) for medication, and then learns from the patients that Mia has been acting differently.
Patrick searches for Mia and catches her smoking in the lobby, immediately taking the cigarette from her hand and reminding her that it is prohibited inside the facility. As he presses her to explain her behavior, he points out that her reaction likely stems from patient Elvie (Sharmaine Suarez) mistaking her for her daughter, and that it seems like Mia still carries the hope that her mother is alive.
Overcome with anger, Mia lashes out, saying she reacted that way because her mother continues to haunt her even after all these years. With hints of pain, she declares that her mother may as well be dead because, to her, she already is.
