After dropping off his older brother Matmat (Carlo Aquino), Patpat (Joshua Garcia) headed straight to St. Benedict Hospital where he works as a nurse assigned to the psychiatric ward. As he walked into the building, he noticed the TV screen announcing that bestselling children’s book author Mia Hernandez (Anne Curtis) would be holding a story-reading event later that afternoon at the hospital auditorium.
Cut to the ward in mild chaos. The nurses were getting flustered because one of the patients, Jillian (Sofia Andres), couldn’t be calmed down. She was sitting on the floor, aggressively devouring whatever food was within reach, clearly in the middle of an emotional episode. One nurse muttered that the only person who could handle her was Patpat.
And sure enough, Jillian softened the moment she saw Patpat, who she sees as the husband who left and had finally come back. She hugged him tightly, until she threw up on him. But Patpat didn’t even flinch. Instead, he gently closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and mentally transported himself to a beautiful place to trick his brain into not reacting to the smell. He even smiled at Jillian and stayed cool when her mood shifted again and she slapped him just because of his charming smile.
