Feelings can always sneak in as "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" housemates spend more time together under one roof. Case in point: Kapamilya housemate Fred Moser and Kapuso housemate Princess Aliyah, who seem to have entered their own "talking stage" inside the house, as shown in the December 6 episode.
As the housemates continued to face Big Brother’s strict consequences for their major violations, Princess and Fred developed a growing closeness that seemed to offer a welcome distraction. Fred shared with Big Brother in the confession room that the more time he spends with Princess, the more he appreciates her presence, even saying she helps him see things in a more positive light.
While both have clarified that they see each other as siblings, a few housemates seem unconvinced. Observers noted that their dynamic doesn’t exactly scream 'just sibling.'
As more days passed inside the house, Fred and Princess started opening up to their closest housemates as they began to notice what others had been seeing all along—that their bond was evolving. They’ve been getting to know each other even more lately through conversations.
Well, as housemate Lella Ford told Princess, it’s understandable to develop a connection with someone you see and talk to every day. After all, they’ve all been living under the same roof for more than a month now.
But, housemates, what’s not normal is repeatedly forgetting Big Brother’s rules. Tsk. At first, there were signs that the housemates were starting to learn from their mistakes. Mornings now start with them making their beds right away, following Big Brother's strict reminder about cleanliness. But just as things appeared more organized, Fred slipped up by using the code name 'Marcus,' which actually referred to Rave Victoria.
Using code names is against Big Brother’s rules, and unfortunately, Fred’s slip didn’t go unnoticed. He was called into the confession room to be reprimanded, and his mistake was officially counted among the housemates’ current list of violations.
With the housemates still racking up violations, Big Brother was forced to raise the difficulty of their weekly task. This time, only one ball could be passed at a time from Point A to Point B using the giant paddle through four different groups while still confined inside cage-like cells around the pool. In short, arm stamina and teamwork just got trickier.
Sofia Pablo took the first shot at passing the ball but had a hard time managing the giant paddle, especially since her arms have always been her weakness. Her group tried to bring the ball closer to Lee Victor’s side, but the ball would drop several times as she was about to hand it over. After several failed attempts, Sofia gave the paddle to Rave, who also struggled.
Other groups began moving into position at the first station, but still, no one could complete a successful pass until Ashley Sarmiento managed to send the ball to Sofia after a few tries. The ball still slipped a few times on Sofia’s end, which compelled Iñigo Jose from the third group to voice out his opinion, sparking off tension among the housemates.
Seeing the discussion heat up, Heath Jornales stepped in to remind his groupmate Iñigo that the argument would only go around in circles if he kept insisting on his point. He encouraged him to take the high road, saying it’s always better to be the bigger person. Heath mentioned he learned this lesson from his dad.
Following the task, the boys brought up how Iñigo’s temper flared during the activity. Miguel Vergara later found the right moment to talk to him directly, reminding his friend to relax and not let little things get to him, telling Iñigo, "You're being rage baited by everything. That's, like, so bad." Miguel then offered some helpful advice on how to manage emotions better during stressful situations.
In his defense, Iñigo explained, “’Yung kay Ashley, I didn’t mean to be disrespectful—but because of the emotions, it came out that way. I didn’t even mean to be rude, but since mataas na ’yung emotions ko before coming into the competition, it became times two worse. I could’ve said it in a better way, but instead, lumabas siya nang gano’n.” Taking Miguel’s advice to heart, Iñigo promised that he would talk to Ashley and clear the air.
Meanwhile, due to the gravity of their recent violations, Big Brother decided to skip the LigTask challenge this week, meaning none of the housemates will have a chance to earn immunity from the upcoming nomination.
