One of the show’s biggest milestones happened when Kapamilya Chat aired live as a gap show for "Sins of The Father." For two straight nights, fans tuned in during breaks on Kapamilya Online Live (KOL) and watched our resident host, Jeremiah, interview the cast in real time. They even paused taping just so the stars could chat with us. That was literally a rare moment!
The timing couldn’t have been more perfect as it lined up with a major turning point in the series, when the much-talked-about "1 versus 100" fight scene was airing, directed by none other than the lead actor himself, Gerald Anderson—his first time wearing the director’s hat.

Gerald was visibly excited to finally watch the sequence he directed hit the screen, and he made sure to shout out everyone who helped make it happen. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast had nothing but praise for his work and the collaborative effort it took to pull it all off.
On Day 2 of the special "Sins of the Father" gap show on Kapamilya Chat, viewers heard from Junjun Quintana, Ace Carrera, Leigh Ang, Ashton Salvador, and Elyson de Dios. The group discussed the social relevance of the story, which delved into scams and deception.
We were definitely full, with both good vibes and good food, during the episode featuring Charo Santos and Dingdong Dantes, where the conversation flowed over a cozy breakfast buffet. Just seeing these two legends on Kapamilya Chat was already a treat in itself, but the whole breakfast setup made it more special. Truly one for the books!
In the episode, the icons talked about their film "Only We Know." And we got to witness a rare moment where they joined in on fun games like the 'Boomers versus Millennials' Challenge, where they shared their thoughts on the differences between the new and older generations, especially when it comes to love, family, and leadership.
And since it was a breakfast buffet kind of episode, they also took on a fun challenge of curating breakfast plates for each other, thoughtfully picking out what they believed suited the other’s taste.
This year also marked a major leap for Kapamilya Chat as it stepped out of the studio and into the field. In one special episode, we raided the “Your Face Sounds Familiar” dressing rooms to catch up with the celebrity performers and see how their preparations were going. Even in the middle of their makeup and prosthetics sessions, everyone was game for some kulitan!
Jason Dy, Rufa Mae Quinto, Dia Mate, JM Dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano (aka JMielle), Alexa Ilacad, Jarlo Base, Akira Morishita, and former celebrity performer Pepe Herrera even said 'yes' to a quick-fire impersonation challenge—and totally nailed it.
Another exciting milestone this year was when Kapamilya Chat welcomed a live audience for the very first time! The special episode featured a fan meet and poster reveal for the Kapamilya teleserye "Roja," headlined by Kyle Echarri and Donny Pangilinan.
Hosted by Jeremiah and ABS-CBN News reporter MJ Felipe, the event gave fans a double treat—with exclusive interviews, fun games, and a chance to ask Donny and Kyle their most burning questions. It was kilig, chaos, and bonding all in one unforgettable afternoon!
Looking at everything that happened this 2025, Kapamilya Chat is now on a whole new level. But this is just the beginning. Here’s to more milestones, more kulitan, and more episodes that bring us closer to our favorite Kapamilya stars!
