The episode begins on a dark note, with the missing Bianca bound and bloody as she is approached by the wickedly smiling Angelo (Marlo Mortel) holding a knife. Liezel (Mary Joy Apostol) also appears to be enjoying the terror on Bianca’s face—until Beth (Charlie Dizon) steps in to stop them from hurting the girl.
In a surprising turn of events, the girl transforms into the ghost of Louisa (Mutya Orquia), a slash across her neck mirroring the wound that ended her life fourteen years ago. Instead of a warm reunion, Louisa harshly tells Beth to tip off the police about both Angelo and Liezel, who then cast an eerie look at Beth.
Not stopping there, Louisa doubts that Beth will follow through, while Beth reasons that she wants to be sure—to avoid making false assumptions that could ruin Liezel’s life. Finding this hypocritical, Louisa points out that Beth has already done so in the past, implicitly referring to Edong (Jake Cuenca).
Terrified, Beth shakily insists that her actions were meant to give Louisa’s death justice, but Louisa disagrees, bringing up Beth’s past fear of losing her college scholarship, which Celestino had threatened to take away. Louisa continues to confront Beth with more of her past wrongdoings, desperate for her to steer the flawed investigations into Louisa’s murder in the right direction.
With Beth’s hesitation still evident, Louisa hurls degrading names at her, eventually leading to a discussion about Erica (Kaila Estrada) and how Beth didn’t want Erica to be right. Louisa adds that everything Beth wanted to do and become is reflected in Erica, suggesting this may explain Beth’s seemingly hidden shame about her life.
What pushes Beth to the edge—and ultimately wakes her from the nightmare—is Louisa’s mention of how Chloe (Jewel Milag) would feel upon learning that Erica, her idol, had once been cast out by Beth.
Later that day, driven by the hunches intensified by her nightmare, Beth goes to Amurao’s Banal na Alon Christian Church, where Liezel’s father is preaching and later calls Liezel and Angelo on stage to give their testimony about their strong relationship.
After the mass, Beth and Liezel converse, and what begins as a light-hearted chat soon leads Beth to guide Liezel to a quiet area, where she begins asking about Liezel’s connection to their missing student. Liezel falters, hesitating on the topic, and claims that Bianca’s sister might be mistaken in thinking she’s close to her.
Determined to extract the truth, Beth mentions her close friendship with Liezel, knowing that she is hiding something and might be covering someone. Their conversation is cut short when they notice Vangie (Rubi Rubi), the town’s gossiper, listening in—who quickly escapes to relay what she heard to Bianca’s mother.
It was already too late when they caught up to Vangie, as Bianca’s mother immediately confronts the overwhelmed Liezel, who denies the rumors, while Beth looks on apologetically.
Before things escalate further, Angelo steps in to stop the commotion, followed by Liezel’s father, who reprimands everyone—especially Vangie for gossiping inside the church. Moments later, Liezel faces further criticism from her father in his office, and when Beth comes in to apologize, she is harshly shooed away by the fuming Angelo.
By the end of the scene, the focus shifts to flickering lights illuminating Angelo as he sharpens a knife.
