In the November 19 episode of “Sins of the Father,” the battle between Jacob (JC de Vera) and his enemies intensifies, drawing Samuel (Gerald Anderson), Arissa (Francine Diaz), and their family into a desperate fight for survival.
Betrayal, greed, and desperation set the stage for everyone that will test their fate as Jacob unravels his plans, threatening the lives of everyone, especially Samuel’s family.
Jacob threatens Samuel using Arissa
Following the break-in at their safehouse, which led to Arissa being kidnapped, Samuel rushes to go home. There, he finds Chloe (Cailey Magno), King (Clave Sun), Agnes (Jessy Mendiola), Enzo (Seth Fedelin), and Lolita (Lotlot de Leon), all infuriated by what has happened. Enzo, in particular, is determined to save Arissa.
“Mga hayop! Lahat ginagawa ko para hindi na kayo malalagay sa panganib, tapos ganito pa ang nangyari,” Samuel cries in frustration.
They realize they must come up with a plan to rescue Arissa. Mael (Jerald Napoles) updates Samuel and assures him that they will not stop looking for her. Meanwhile, Agnes blames herself for the incident, but Johnny (RK Bagatsing) comforts her. Leah (Shaina Magdayao), however, is convinced that Jacob is the one behind all of these.
Jacob then calls Samuel, threatening him, “Pinakulong n’yo ‘yung kapatid ko, kaya ako naman kinuha ang kapatid mo. Ang isusunod ko ay ‘yung nanay mo at ‘yung anak mo.” His words enrage Leah, but Jacob only says that she must stay vigilant around Samuel. Jacob hints that he already has plans for his Arissa.
Terrified, Arissa cries for help. Samuel assures her that he will find her, but Jacob cuts their conversation short. Arissa is then taken somewhere, where she discovers that other girls have also been kidnapped for Jacob’s prostitution business.
Samuel reunites with Arissa
Roldan (Joko Diaz) is taken to jail, and Enzo visits him. The latter informs Roldan that his brother Jacob has kidnapped Arissa. Enzo convinces him that he probably knows where Jacob has taken her, and Roldan tries to remember what his brother’s plans are.
Meanwhile, Arissa is now under Jacob’s control, his intention being to get back at Samuel. Despite her fear, Arissa remains hopeful. “Mahahanap ako ng kuya ko. Ililigtas ako ni Kuya Samuel.”
Arissa and the other victims are taken to a parking lot to transfer vehicles. The police suddenly arrive, and a shootout erupts. Samuel, having received further information from Roldan about Arissa’s possible whereabouts, arrives with Enzo.
“Kuya Samuel!” Arissa screams upon seeing him. But amid the chaos, Arissa fails to escape. The van carrying her and the other victims drives away, leaving Samuel and his team desperate to save them
Samuel, with Johnny and his men covering for him, chases the van alongside Enzo. They manage to get ahead of the vehicle. As one of Jacob’s thugs runs out of bullets, Samuel seizes the opportunity to attack him and the others.
Meanwhile, Enzo finds Arissa and saves her. They embrace tightly, with Arissa trembling in fear. “Pinag-alala mo ako,” Enzo says.
Together with Johnny, they succeed in saving Arissa and the other women from Jacob’s attempt. Samuel reassures them that they are now safe. Enzo kisses Arissa on the forehead to calm her down.
Arissa saved at last
Arissa finally arrives back home and reunites with her family. “Pinag-alala mo ako. Salamat sa Diyos at ligtas ka,” Lolita embraces her tightly.
Samuel expresses his gratitude to Paeng (Nico Antonio) and hopes that they will remain hidden in their new safehouse, away from danger. He also thanks Johnny for his help, despite the differences they had in the past.
As Johnny prepares to leave, Leah jokingly asks if he isn’t going to wait for Agnes. She teases him further. Agnes then reveals that she discovered Johnny cheating on her. Leah gives her brother a judging look, while Johnny tries to divert the conversation by pointing out that Leah once did the same to Samuel.
“We, women, have to stick together,” Leah says, offering Agnes a free consultation. The group shares a lighthearted moment together after the incident.
Jacob is consumed by his own rage
“Kapag natapos ang lahat ng ‘to, magagawa na natin ang lahat ng planong hindi namin nagawa ni Kuya,” Jacob says with determination. But when his business partners arrive, they refuse to push through with their deal when they found out that Jacob is a criminal. Jacob lashes out in frustration.
Meanwhile, Mael calls Samuel with urgent news. “Samuel! May movement ‘yung pera sa crypto wallet!” he reports, revealing that Jacob is behind it. Jacob, confident, insists “Gagamitin natin ‘tong pera na ‘to para ibangon ang Bakunawa.”
Samuel immediately calls Jacob, asking him to stop. “Akala mo ba nanalo ka na? Hindi pa tapos ang laban,” Jacob retorts.
However, Samuel counters by reminding Jacob of his failures. “Wala na ‘yung scam warehouse mo, ‘yung network mo tumba na, ‘yung mga kasamahan mo na-expose na, pati ‘yung mga European partners n’yo sa Crown Madeira nag-backout na dahil ‘yung pera bumalik na sa Crypto Wallet ng Bakunawa. Jacob, tama na!”
Confused as to how Samuel discovered this, Jacob grows furious. “Paano nangyari?!” he demands. Samuel explains that when Jacob attempted to transfer the money to other crypto wallets, he unknowingly used a different website. The USB Jacob had trusted contained a Trojan horse, planted by Mael’s team, for them to intercept and reroute the funds. In the end, Jacob himself was the downfall of his own empire.
Samuel urges him to surrender, but Jacob is not moved at all. “Trinidad, hindi kita titigilan! Papatayin ko kayong lahat!” he threatens.
Xenon intervenes in Jacob’s plans
“Nay, matatapos din lahat ‘to. Babalik din sa normal ang buhay natin. Pangako ‘yan,” Samuel promises to his mother. Lolita says she is praying for that to finally happen.
Meanwhile, Jacob is on the move. Matthias (Eric Fructuoso) manages to track their whereabouts and assures Jacob that he has found their new safehouse. As King goes outside to play, Jacob positions himself in front of the house. He attempts to shoot King, but Xenon (LA Santos) intervenes just in time.
In the chaos, it appears that Xenon has kidnapped King. Samuel rushes out, and Jacob begins shooting at them all. Samuel chases Jacob while Arissa explains what she witnessed. “Bigla ko na lang nakita na kinukuha siya ni Xenon!” she cries, sending everyone into panic.
Soon, however, it is revealed that King is safe--Xenon did not kidnap him. Samuel, enraged by the confusion, confronts Xenon. But King stops and defends him. “Babarilin ni Jacob si King. ‘Di ako pumayag. ‘Di ko gusto ‘yon,” Xenon explains.
Jacob’s final act of betrayal
Jacob then confronts Xenon, his anger boiling over. “Tarantado ka! Makakaganti na dapat ako kay Trinidad!” he shouts. Xenon pleads with him to stop, but Jacob is not backing down.
Feeling betrayed, “Pati ikaw iiwan mo ko?” Jacob asks him. Xenon, however, stands firm. “Pero ‘di ko kayang pumatay ng inosenteng bata, Jacob. Itigil na natin ‘to,” he says, reminding Jacob of his own family.
Jacob grows even more furious when he realizes that Xenon was also the one who let King escape during their previous kidnapping attempt. “Jacob, tama na. Parang awa mo na,” Xenon pleads once more.
For a brief moment, the two embrace, but Jacob’s rage consumes him. Shortly after, he shoots Xenon, ending their alliance once and for all.
The last escape for Jacob
Jacob hears the police siren from the car driven by Johnny and hurriedly escapes.
“Napakasama talaga ng Jacob na ‘yan, pati apo ko gusto niyang patayin,” Lolita says, growing more worried.
Johnny updates Samuel that they are now chasing Jacob. Three police cars follow closely behind. Jacob begins shooting at them from his car, and a shootout erupts as they exchange gunfire.
However, Jacob’s car crashes into a tree just as he is about to be hit by a truck, causing it to explode. A huge fire ensues, and everyone believes that Jacob has died in the blaze.
Johnny later calls Samuel, informing him that Jacob did not survive.
Desperation fuels their fight for redemption. But in the end, who will make it out alive?
