Despite being strongly warned by Rigor (John Estrada) against meddling with their family problems and attempting to help Marites (Cherry Picache), their three highly concerned neighbors—Geline (Geline Garcia), Happy (Happy Marcial), and Ghercie (Ghercie Soriano)—refused to be swayed by the arrogant policeman’s threat.
Upon finding out that Rigor locked Marites inside their house, Geline urged Happy and Ghercie that they must do something to save her, regardless of what the repercussion of their action is going to be. Undeterred by fear, the three of them immediately broke into the Dimaguiba residence using the hammer that Happy found under the billiards table and were able to successfully set Marites free.
Marites actually tried to shoo them away at first, then refused to go with them as she feared what Rigor could do to them once he learned about this. But Geline insisted that she should come with them and that she must also think of herself after being locked up by Rigor like an animal, which Marites subsequently heeded.
They immediately brought her to Geline’s house to hide her there for the meantime before taking her away from San Dimas at the right time. Geline asked Happy and Ghercie to close the store for the day but not the billiards nook in order to avoid feeding Rigor’s suspicion.
