The Prince of Soul, Jason Dy, keeps up his run as one of the strongest contenders in the fourth season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar.”

In a sweet succession, the singer ranked second during the first week of performances as the Prince of Pop Erik Santos. He then clinched the top spot in the second week with his exceptional portrayal of English singer Sam Smith.

Jason is no stranger to winning, having emerged as the grand champion of the second season of “The Voice Philippines.”

Yet what more is there to know about his victorious reputation? “Atin A10 Lang” spotlights some of his relatable and creative sides.

Swiftly detailing his usual sleep rhythm, Jason first discloses that he is among the “night owls,” usually falling asleep around 2 or 3 a.m. and consequently starting his day late.

Expressing a knack for balancing the joys of life with healthy habits, the singer’s favorite food is the savory, mouthwatering Filipino dish sisig. He is also dedicated to leading an active lifestyle, walking 10,000 steps or more each day as a routine to stay grounded and energized.

Outside of immersing online viewers and live audiences with his performances, Jason takes inspiration from creative productions, particularly by watching music videos and horror films, with horror being his favorite genre of all time.

Apart from displaying his extraordinary vocal abilities, the singer-songwriter is undoubtedly exceptional in terms of his OOTDs, concert attire, and performance costumes. He specifies that one of his favorite pastimes is digging through ‘ukay-ukay’ shops, hunting for rare gems that help him craft his signature fashion style, with a fondness for vintage finds

Proving his ‘soul singer’ title, he shares that before his singing expertise and career bloomed, he was a certified ‘haranista,’ helping suitors and proposals. To top it off, he also sang in various singing telegrams and demo songs, “‘Yung mga songwriters ibibigay sa amin ‘yung song. [Then,] ire-record namin ‘yung song bago nila ibigay sa final singer talaga,” he explained.

Adding a touch of quirkiness, and though a bit unsure, he mentioned having a disjointed bone, possibly hinting at contortionist-like mini moves. “Pero may nagagawa ako dito sa hip bone ko na nalalabas ko siya,” he pointed out.

As the 60-second flash interview comes to a close, Jason astounds viewers with his enthusiasm for discovering new forms of artistic expression, especially through photography.

The pandemic sparked the singer-songwriter's interest in fashion and portrait photography, and he has since set up an Instagram account to share his photographs.

Tune into his world-class transformations in “Your Face Sounds Familiar” every weekend night at 7:15PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), A2Z and iWant. Viewers can also catch it on TV5 every Saturday, at 8:15PM, and Sunday, at 8:30PM.
