Prodded by his friend-slash-colleague Mando (Allan Paule) to relay to Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) the good news about his possible upcoming promotion after passing his lateral exam, Rigor (John Estrada) immediately checked on her upon arriving at the police station.
Surprised, Marites asked what he needed from her and how Tanggol (Coco Martin) and Ramon (Christopher de Leon) had been doing. As she pleaded with him not to do anything bad against his son, Rigor told her that it was already too late since the fate of Tanggol has been determined ever since she chose to be with Ramon.
Meanwhile, Tanggol learned from his Lola Tindeng (Charo Santos) that his mother had been in prison after the Guerreros implicated her in the charges filed against the Montenegros. Alfredo (Juan Rodrigo) told him that they’ve been finding ways to acquit her, but it’s going to be difficult since Roberto (Albert Martinez) and Rigor (John Estrada) control the Quiapo Police Station.
Since he knew all too well how hard and dangerous life is inside the prison, Tanggol vowed to do everything to save her and set her free, regardless of how difficult it could be.
