Viewer had been eagerly waiting for the reunion between Tanggol (Coco Martin) and his beloved grandmother Tindeng (Charo Santos), and the latest episode of “FPJ's Batang Quiapo” with the hashtag #FPJBQNanay delivered just that. However, what they didn’t expect was the intense action and heart-pounding drama that came with it.
After the explosive shootout at the cemetery during Noy (Lou Veloso)’s burial, Olga (Irma Adlawan) rushes to the hospital upon learning that both Tanggol's mother, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), and grandmother, Tindeng, are being treated there. This leads to a dangerous, buwis-buhay chase.
Tanggol reunites with Tindeng, who urges him to save Marites, who is in the clutches of Olga, whom they know under her fake identity as "Beng."
Behind the scenes, though, Coco and Charo were just excited to share the screen again. "It's been a year," Charo gushed as she was greeted by Coco, who was all smiles and clearly excited to see her. The atmosphere was filled with light-hearted banter and laughter as they prepped for their scenes. Coco, ever the gentleman, made sure to make Charo comfortable by offering her a seat, showing how he takes care of his co-stars on set.
But of course, it wouldn't be behind-the-scenes without a little fun! In a hilarious blooper caught on a reel, Charo mistook Tanggol for an enemy and nearly 'stabbed' him with her prop knife.
Filming the episode required real running, diving, and fast-paced movements among the actors, bit players, and even the production team. Coco could be seen making sure everything was going smoothly by giving clear instructions, to which the veterans were attentive and focused. Charo, Cherry Pie, and Irma trusted Coco's direction as they worked together to pull off the intense chase.
