The new single from the 'Ireland's Got Talent' semi-finalist is part of the 'Someone, Someday' Playlist.
Ireland's Got Talent semi-finalist and Junior Eurovision product Shaniah Rollo is back in the Philippines to promote her latest song "Mag-Isa Na Lang Ako". The song is also landed as part of the playlist of the newest ABS-CBN teleserye "Someone, Someday" starring Kathryn Bernardo, Maja Salvador, Dimples Romana, and James Reid.
Now 22 years old, Shaniah has developed a more mature take on her songs, she has recently added the new single to her ever-growing repertoire, big thanks to her music label RJA Productions LLC.
With the inclusion of her newest release in the OST of ABS-CBN's Netflix Philippines chart-topper, Shaniah says “It's such an honor. It's truly amazing to see 'Mag-isa Na Lang Ako' become part of something bigger, being included in a teleserye gives the song a new life, and I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity and I also owe so much to the people who believed in me and my talent especially Tita Rosabella Jao Arribas, my manager and Mr. Jonathan Manalo, the composer for trusting me with this song and opening this door for me. Their support means the world to me, and I wouldn't be here without them.”
She also said she once only dreamed of having her song played in a teleserye, and seeing it become a reality still feels surreal. And she’ll always be grateful for the opportunity and for everyone who believed in her and her music.
Shaniah still enjoys listening to current music trends and loves to collaborate given a chance. Her new break gave her more hope and en courage her to keep dreaming. Her dream collaboratioons include her idol Ariana Grande and her fellow Someone, Someday playlist artists Bryan Chong, FANA, Angela Ken and Maki.
When asked about a possible duet with James Reid, the leading actor in the teleserye, who happens to be one of Shaniah’s favorite actors, she said, “James has his own style and charm, so I’d want a song where we can meet halfway and create something memorable, maybe a ballad or pop.”
Being a young singer, she dreams of becoming someone who can bring comfort and happiness to people and make them smile, feel understood and help them through their emotions and dark moments. Undoubtedly, she wants to make a difference in the world through her music.
As a teenager who started her music career though joining music competitions, she just wants to say to the her fellow young and aspiring singers to just always dream big, to never stop believing you can achieve your goals., and to stay humble and don’t let the pressure of being perfect take away the joy of singing.
