With this song from the OST of 'Forgotten Island', the Philippine-centric animated film from Dreamworks, The Nation's Girl Group drops a song that captures the perfect middle between the strong lyrical resonance of their bubblegum pop Feel Good-Talaarawan era and the forward-looking modern pop music that's blazing the world.
BACKGROUNDER. BINI continues their worldwide journey with the release of their song for the animated film Forgotten Island entitled “A Parallel World”. The song was co-written by co-producer Nathan Matthew David and bubblegum electronica producer Shawn Wasabi. The song so far has garnered over 850 thousand Spotify streams.
The Nation’s Girl Group is also scheduled to go to Japan this August to perform at the world-renowned Summer Sonic 2026, which will be held simultaneously in Osaka and Tokyo from August 14 to 16.
They will be part of the Mountain Stage, where they will share the stage with many worldwide-popular acts like Jennie of BLACKPINK, David Byrne, Jamiroquai, Kodaline, and Suede.
On August 14, the eight-piece girl band is set to bring their biggest P-pop hits to the Expo ‘70 Commemorative Park in Osaka.
They are also set to show what Filipino music is all about to festivalgoers in Tokyo with their scheduled performance at the ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe this August 16 (Sunday).
Meanwhile, BINI members Aiah, Colet, Gwen, Maloi, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena recently rocked the Queen City of the South as the maiden act at the sold-out SM Seaside Cebu Arena for the Signals World Tour - Cebu.
Aside from their highly-anticipated Japan sojourn, the P-pop powerhouse is also set to embark on a North America tour of North America for the continuation of Signals concert. They kickstarted the tour with a bang at Honolulu, Hawaii last August 1 and then go to Peacock Theater, Los Angeles, California.

The track is an uptempo yet profoundly emotional senti theme song for Forgotten Island. The song is the most balanced compromise between the powerful lyrical resonance of their bubblegum pop Feel Good-Talaarawan era and the forward-looking modern global pop music The Nation’s Girl Group has been aiming for ever since they released “Cherry on Top”.
“A Parallel World” settles a vigorous, contemporary, club-friendly pop-EDM rhythm with emotional and expressive fundamental core undertones invented for cinematic pastiches. The musical arrangements are so dense and dynamic as multi-layered EDM and bubblegum loops intertwine in parallel with video game synthesizers permeate the track before they put that slow, elegant touch at the end.
Lyrically, one can’t help the honesty and sincerity that permeates in “A Parallel World” the same way that when BINI sings “Lagi nang umaawit / Umaawit mula kusina hanggang sa sala” or “Huwag mag alala buhay ay 'di karera”, you believe what they’re singing.
