HYBE x Geffen Records announced the name and complete lineup of its newest global girl group, SAINT SATINE, on Wednesday, May 20, coinciding with the finale broadcast of World Scout: The Final Piece on Japanese streaming platform ABEMA.

The four-member group consists of Emily, 20, of the United States; Lexie, 21, of Sweden; Samara, 20, of Brazil; and Sakura, 16, of Japan.

Emily, Lexie, and Samara were previously introduced through the Netflix docuseries Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, where they built a devoted international following.

Sakura was selected from more than 14,000 applicants through World Scout: The Final Piece, an ABEMA-exclusive competition series that documented the search for the group's final member across Japan.

Along with the announcement, HYBE x Geffen Records released the digital single album World Scout: The Final Piece – Finale globally.

The two-track release features both competition finalists performing alongside the three established members.

Sakura performs “PARTY b4 the PARTY,” a lively urban track with playful percussion, heavy bass, and strong vocal chemistry. Runner-up Ayana appears on “WE RIDE,” a smoother R&B-inspired song with an early 2000s feel, four-part harmonies, and a flowing bassline. Both tracks are available for download and streaming.

The group’s name reflects its artistic style: “SAINT” stands for musical talent and charisma, while “SATINE” suggests a soft, elegant, and sophisticated image. Together, they represent a balance of allure and refinement.

The group is described as existing at the intersection of desire and restraint, balancing allure with refinement.

SAINT SATINE is the second major act to emerge from the HYBE x Geffen Records partnership.

The collaboration between HYBE America, the U.S. division of South Korean entertainment giant HYBE, and Geffen Records, a label under Universal Music Group, was established with the goal of developing acts that cross national, cultural, and artistic boundaries.

Their first joint project produced KATSEYE, a six-member multinational girl group formed through a global search that drew more than 120,000 applicants in 2021.

The group underwent a year of intensive idol-style training before competing on the Dream Academy show, with the full process documented by Netflix.

KATSEYE went on to earn two Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards nominations, and debuted their second EP, Beautiful Chaos, at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The group's third EP, Wild, is set for release on August 14.

With their lineup now confirmed and global anticipation building, SAINT SATINE is positioned to make its formal entry into the international music market.
