Global searches for the term "BINI Coachella" hit a perfect score of 100 on April 8, according to Google Trends data released Wednesday, suggesting the search term became the highest-ranking search trend.
This also means there is a global audience eager to see the eight-piece act — Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena — make history as the first Filipino act to play at the popular US festival, according to a press release.
The octet will take the stage of the festival's Mojave stage at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday (Philippine time).
Culture publication Rolling Stone earlier named BINI among the 20 acts "we can’t wait to see at Coachella," potentially fueling interest for the "Pantropiko" hitmakers.
"BINI’s vibrant pop songs and animated choreography feel tailor-made for the kind of explosive visual spectacle that Coachella promises year after year," Rolling Stone's Larisha Paul wrote in the article.

KATSEYE INTEREST
Apart from BINI, there is also interest in KATSEYE, the multinational girl group led by Filipino talent Sophia Laforteza.
Global searches for "KATSEYE Coachella" scored 98 on April 7 on Google Trends before getting a perfect 100 on April 8, according to Google Trends data.
KATSEYE, who were also included in the Rolling Stone list, will perform on the Sahara stage at 11 a.m. Philippine time on Saturday.
Held in the deserts of California, Coachella is a popular and widely watched music festival, typically featuring a lineup of both major acts and rising artists across various genres.
