"Multo" by Cup of Joe is now the most streamed OPM song on Spotify.
As of February 20, the hit song has amassed over 513.7 million streams, overtaking the previous record holder, "Tadhana" by Up Dharma Down, which has garnered more than 512.9 million streams on the platform.
Following the massive feat, Cup of Joe took to social media to express their gratitude to those who listened and supported "Multo."
"From our hearts to yours. You carried this song farther than we ever imagined. We hope the ghosts you’re facing turn into healing. Salamat, Joewahs! ❤️🩹" the band wrote on Instagram.
In 2025, "Multo" landed the No. 1 spot on the 2025 Top 5 Local Songs of Spotify. Cup of Joe was also crowned as the No. 1 local Artist and No. 1 Local Group of 2025 by the music streaming giant.
In April 2025, the track climbed to No. 1 on both the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 and the Top Philippines Songs chart.
Back in May 2025, vocalist Gian Bernardino shared the band's gratitude for the overwhelming support for the song.
"We’re still floating. Hindi pa rin kami makapaniwala sa lahat ng nangyari ngayon and we’re very grateful for everyone na nagsuporta sa amin, ever since and until now. I’m proud of these guys so much and sa team," Gian remarked.
In a previous interview with pikapika.ph, the band reflected on why the song resonated deeply with listeners.
"Sobrang daming nakarelate. Na-encapsulate niya talaga ‘yong pinakasense ng yearning, ng longing sa things that could have been, sa regrets, ganyan. And I think maraming nakarelate," Gian highlighted.
Guitarist Gabriel Fernandez said the track resonated deeply because listeners can interpret it based on their own experiences.
"Madaming pwedeng maging meaning ’yan so may mga tao na iba-iba ’yong experience. Parang, in a sense, nakakarelate din sila doon sa song na ’yon, in a different way nga lang," he highlighted.

Cup of Joe dropped their debut studio album Silakbo in January 2025. The record contains 10 tracks, including "Multo."
"Because this is our first major album, we wanted to do something different. Mga previous songs namin very energetic, pero this time we wanted to be very emotional, very raw," vocalist Raphaell Ridao said in a past interview with ABS-CBN News.
