The excitement surrounding BTS' album "Arirang" has grown after American producer Diplo revealed that he took part in the project, calling it the "craziest album ever."
Diplo confirmed his participation in the K-pop supergroup's upcoming record in a recent interview with entertainment news outlet TMZ
"I just feel so lucky because I've been working for three decades and to link up with a group like that, and have them trust me and do some awesome music. Honestly, it's gonna shock the world," he said.
"Craziest album ever," he added.
When asked what it was like to be in the studio with the group's members, Diplo remarked: "They're so hands-on. They're so creative. I can't believe it."
"Jungkook no auto-tune. Perfect voice," he said of the group's youngest member.
Diplo — who has worked with a slew of major artists including Britney Spears, Madonna, Usher, Bad Bunny and Blackpink — said he also considered the collaboration "the biggest thing I've ever done."
It remains unclear, however, how many of the 14 tracks on "Arirang" Diplo worked on.
Set to come out on March 20, "Arirang" is the septet's first album since the anthology "Proof," released in 2022 before the group went on a self-described hiatus as the members undertook their mandatory military service.
The album takes its name from a widely popular Korean folk song about longing and separation.
The highly anticipated comeback also includes a performance in Seoul's iconic Gwanghwamun Square on March 21, which will be livestreamed on Netflix.
Following the album's release, BTS will also embark on a world tour beginning in April, which will include a two-day stop in the Philippines in March 2027.
