Bruno Mars announces new album 'The Romantic' to be released in February

Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars has sparked excitement among fans after announcing that his new album is officially complete.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, January 6, the Grammy-winning artist wrote: "My album is done."

In an Instagram post on Thursday, January 8, Bruno revealed that title of his new album is The Romantic, which will be released on February 27.

He also shared that a new single would drop this Friday, January 9.

Fans were quick to react to the announcement, flooding the post with messages of anticipation and support.

"Can't wait to hear it!" one fan commented.

"And we'll be here for it!" another fan wrote.



Bruno last released a studio album in November 2016 with 24K Magic, which went on to sell over five million units worldwide. The album was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), four times platinum by Music Canada (MC), and seven times platinum by Recorded Music NZ (RMNZ).

At the 2018 Grammy Awards, 24K Magic dominated the night, winning seven awards, including Album of the Year and Best R&B Album. The title track won Record of the Year, while “That’s What I Like” earned Song of the Year honors at the same ceremony.

Recently, Bruno collaborated with Lady Gaga for "Die with A Smile" and Rosé for "APT."

"Die With A Smile" landed atop the Billboard Hot 100. The track also set a Spotify record as the fastest song to reach one billion streams.

Bruno and Lady Gaga won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the track at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

In a previous interview with Page Six, Bruno remarked that it was an honor to collaborate with Gaga for the song. "She’s an icon, and she makes this song magical," he remarked.

On how the song came into fruition, Gaga relayed: "Bruno and I have a lot of mutual respect for each other and were talking about collaborating. I was finishing up my own album in Malibu, and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on," she recalled.

"It was around midnight when I got there, and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making."

Bruno and Rosé's "APT." also reached one billion streams on Spotify. The song bagged nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards including Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Their collaboration also got a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
