After announcing the date of his first concert at the Araneta Coliseum in November this year, Kolorcoaster singer and songwriter Maki dropped more exciting news during his launch as one of the new celebrity ambassadors of PLDT Home Fiber last August 18. The “Dilaw” singer revealed to the press that he would not only be performing, but also directing the one-night only event happening later this year.
“Malaking opportunity ito for me also because I will be directing my own concert. Nung last time kasi, sa creative direction ako talaga yung nasunod. So for this own as well kasi I created the Kolorcoaster world, so why not na ako din ang mag-direct nung concert? So sabi ko, I am really honored and thrilled na I got the chance and opportunity. And they gave me the trust for me to direct. Kasi I’ve always been dreaming of directing something. And para sa akin, itong concert na ito, it’s not just a milestone, but also para sa akin po, it’s the physical or the human form of me and my heart,” he said.

The 25-year-old Tarsier Records artist added that he will also be one of the musical directors of the concert as well.
“Isa rin ako dun. Nagpapabibo po talaga (laughs). Isa lang ako dun kasi siyempre tinatanggap ko din na kailangan po natin ng tulong, especially sa mga talagang nakakaalam. We’ll make sure to give everyone the best sound quality, the best performance, sa mga areglo, sa Araneta. Marami pa tayong pasabog kasi never akong nauubusan ng surprises. But feeling ko, yun yung magiging highlight ng 2025 since two years ng in the making yung Kolorcoaster album and also this concert,” he added.
The Kolorcoaster performer also shared that he is excited to showcase another side of himself as an artist that his fans have not seen yet.
“Naiisip ko naman lagi talagang may pressure kasi lagi talagang may pressure. Para sa akin, I’m really, really excited to show that side of me na hindi pa nakikita ng maraming tao. Kasi ang nakikita lang nila sa akin is kumakanta ako, but I’d like to thank my team for trusting me with the direction ideas, with the creative stuff. So I’m really, really looking forward to this kasi pinaghirapan talaga namin ito.”
The new PLDT Home celebrity ambassador also confirmed that as of now, the concert is only slated to be a one-night only event. Last November 2024, Maki had already held a sold-out two-day concert at the New Frontier Theater.
“Well it depends, kung may demand then pagbibigyan namin. Pero hindi pa natin alam kung mag-so-sold out. Pero sana po ma-sold out kasi ang daming nagtampo sa akin last time. Kasi hindi daw kasya sa NFT, grabe. Pero, I’m really, really grateful kasi I get to also celebrate my music with these people na mas marami na ngayon, ever since after na mangyari ang concert sa NFT. it became wider and bigger and I hope to see you guys there again,” he added.
Before ending the interview, Maki said he wanted to assure his fans why it will be another unforgettable experience to be there at his upcoming concert. “Itong concert na ito, hindi siya basta basta na concert. It’s going to be like entering a world of colors. Pinaghirapan po namin itong world na ito and I hope to see you guys there at the Big Dome, in Araneta Coliseum on November 7.”
