Robbie Jaworski is all set to make his mark as one of the newest and freshest faces of the music channel MYX.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the next-gen VJ revealed the top artists he dreams of interviewing as part of his MYX journey.
“Lagi kong binabanggit si Gloc-9 for a local artist that I want to interview. Bakit? Pakinggan niyo lahat ng kanta niya. Lahat ng kanta niya may kwento. Ang una kong tatanungin ko sa kanya, ‘Sa kantang Magda, ano dun yung totoo at ano dun yung hindi?’" he mentioned.
Aside from wanting to interview an OPM rap icon, Robbie also has his sights set on a few international artists.
“I'll name international artists. I think one artist that I would really want to interview would be Post Malone, very interesting person. Mahilig din ako sa house music, so Fred Again. Of course, Drake, (too),” Robbie added.
Robbie also shared which iconic MYX show he’s most excited to host as a VJ: “Yung pinaka-iconic, part of my childhood din kasi siya, yung MYX Daily Top 10.”
But beyond hosting shows, he’s also looking forward to live events where he can connect with people up close and in person.
“Pinaghahandaan ko ay yung mga concerts, festivals, hosting opportunities. Ito kasi yung mga experiences at pagkataon kung saan kang pwedeng umikot, and madami kang makikilala. Tapos ang buong paligid mo, maganda yung music, good vibes, high energy. I think that's the most exciting thing I'm looking forward to,” Robbie expressed.
The young VJ simply hopes to give his best in this new role.
“I love music. It's a part of my life. And to think about also the MYX VJs that came before me, sina Kuya Robi (Domingo), Ate Bianca (Roque), Ate Ai (Dela Cruz), even sila Donny (Pangilinan). I mean, wonderful names, di ba? So, I hope to keep the beat of our culture alive,” he openly shared.
Despite the recognition coming gradually, Robbie humbly shared that this opportunity feels like a greater calling, and he’s simply doing his best to make the most of it.
“Actually, hindi ko talaga inaasahan na papasok ako sa showbiz dati. Pero, dito tayo ngayon, by God's grace, God's will. Let's make the most out of it,” Robbie said.
