Singer-songwriter Angela Ken returns to the spotlight with the release of her latest single, “Pwede Bang Mamaya,” a heartfelt track accompanied by a stirring music video that explores the depths of longing and emotional connection.
Known for her heartfelt lyrics and compelling storytelling, Angela Ken hopes the project will resonate with listeners.
“The storyline is not typical. It is not cliché. May malaki question mark, kasi gusto ko pag pinanood ko, gusto ko mapaisip—sino naisip ko when I am listening? Who do I remember?” she said in an interview during the track’s launch.
“It is all about longing. Kanta siya sa mga tao na kasama pa rin ‘yung tao na ‘yon kahit nawawala na, or ‘di na nararamdaman.”
The artist said she was closely involved in the creative process.
“Simula ng umpisa, hanggang ngayon, hands-on ako every time may lalabas. Alam ko pasikot-sikot at process. As an artist, it is not just my job—it is also my passion,” she explained.
Angela Ken hinted at a larger story unfolding through her music.
“Sa ngayon, masasabi ko lang, may aabangan sila sa future. Mas maiintindihan ‘to in the future sa mga susunod kong songs—pati na rin old songs ko. Related ito sa future and past. Even sa present,” she said.
“Pwede Bang Mamaya”will be available on all major streaming platforms, with the official music video streaming on YouTube, midnight of May 23.
