BLACKPINK's Rosé announced that she will be part of the soundtrack for the movie F1.

The K-pop star expressed her excitement about achieving this new milestone in her career.

"I am soooooo fricken excited for you all to hear my very first movie soundtrack," she said in an Instagram post. "It’s happening!! this movie’s gonna be willldddd 🏎️💕."

Fans online were quick to react to Rosé's post.

"So proud of you!" one fan commented.

"When my worlds collide!" another fan wrote.

The F1 will be released on June 27. The movie follows the story of a "Formula One driver comes out of retirement to mentor and team with a younger driver" as per its IMDB.

Rosé recently released her first studio album titled Rosie on December 6, 2024.

"I remember last year as our year long tour ended, I found myself in a session out here in Los Angeles. That led on to a year of walking in and out of the studio, writing songs with songwriters and producers I’d met for the first time, trying to figure out the next chapter in my career," she previously recounted on the creation of her album.

She went on: "Rosie - is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me."

The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

The record produced the hit track "APT.," her collaboration with Bruno Mars.

The music video for the song became the fastest K-Pop solo video to reach 300 million views on YouTube.

In January, the song reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a new milestone as the highest-charting track by a female K-Pop artist.

"APT." is inspired by the Korean drinking game Apartment. It is pronounced as apateu or 아파트 in Korean.

In a previous interview with Vogue, Rosé shared that she got the inspiration for the song when she was playing the drinking game with her team in the recording studio.

"I was like, 'Is this okay that I've written like a song about like a drinking game? Is this too unserious?' And so I like got all of the producers and songwriters to delete the song off of their phones," she said.

However, when her team couldn’t stop listening to the demo, Rosé decided to finish the track.

As for how the collaboration with Bruno Mars came to be, Rosé relayed: "Last year, Bruno came to perform in Korea, in Seoul and my friends were like, 'Do you wanna go watch a Bruno Mars concert?' And so ever since then I was like, 'Oh my god, I love Bruno Mars, I play his songs all the time.'"

She continued: "Fast forward somebody set up a meeting with him and I. And I met him and I was like, I was fangirling so much, and he liked jumped on the song and he had all these like crazy ideas for it."
