Rising singer Chloe San Jose has officially launched her debut EP titled "Chloe Anjeleigh…For Real," marking a milestone moment in her music career.

The album, produced under Star Pop, was unveiled during a press conference where San Jose shared personal stories behind the project and reflected on her journey as an artist.

"I'm just so grateful, always, and thankful. And it's a full circle moment, everyone being here, it's such a blessing po," she said as she talked about completing the seven-track EP.

"We had to pick from a pool of songs and then we ended up coming up with seven songs pa for this EP. I think it took us two or three days to record everything. And then, yeah, 'yun na. Like, polishing na lang," she added.

While San Jose admitted she didn't pen the songs herself, she expressed deep appreciation for the creative team behind her music.

"Unfortunately, I don't have the talent na mag-write. So I'm very thankful and grateful for the writers of the Star Pop family and Sir Rox (Santos) as well. He wrote 'Dulo ng Bahaghari,'" she said.

San Jose also shared how her love for singing blossomed organically, even though she came from a non-musical family.

"Well, sa family ko po wala talagang singers, but some of them knew how to sing. Pero professional or mga kontesera, no talaga. Bata pa lang ako talaga, pinapakanta nila ako sa karaoke, but just for fun," she said. "Then they got me to sing on YouTube, tapos guitar-guitar ako, piano, tapos puro cover songs lang."

This background inspired her to stay true to her roots, even as she transitions from covers to original music. "I really made it specific to be authentic. I didn't want to lose the Chloe that people knew from YouTube. I always want to go back to my roots," she said.

One of the EP's highlights is its lineup of heartfelt love songs, including one written by hitmaker Rox Santos, which San Jose thinks was inspired by her real-life romance with world-class gymnast Carlos Yulo. The couple have been together for five years.

When asked about the possibility of marriage, San Jose responded candidly: "Well, we talk about it naman. But we don't wanna rush also. We don't want to make it too social media-ish. We kind of want to make it private lang muna and then everybody eventually will know naman."

"Chloe Anjeleigh…For Real" is now available on all major streaming platforms.
