MANILA — Eraserheads lead guitarist Marcus Adoro will be "stepping back" from the upcoming project of the Filipino rock band after fresh sexual abuse allegations against him made the rounds on social media, frontman Ely Buendia announced Sunday.
The allegations, made anonymously on social media forum site Reddit, have raised questions on why Adoro was still with the band despite previous issues.
An Eraserheads concert set for May 31 titled "Eraserheads: Electric Fun Music Festival" is expected to unite veteran and emerging OPM artists.

In a post on X, Buendia said Adoro will sit out the project as he "makes time to address the matter."
"We acknowledge the recent allegations that have surfaced online. As proponents of justice, we unequivocally condemn all criminal acts and stand against abuse of any form. Above all, we seek the truth," said Buendia.
"We move forward with humility and deep respect for the truth and social responsibility," he added.

Buendia earlier said in an interview that the reunion of the rock band members, who previously parted ways, is "for good."
The last local Eraserheads concert, which was named after their hit song "Huling El Bimbo," was held at SMDC Festival Grounds in December 2022.
