OPM band The Juans emphasized the importance of connecting with their fans, Juanistas, through various platforms and events.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the band shared insights about their Juaniversity platform.

“Juaniversity is our way of giving back and sharing knowledge beyond just music. It’s a platform where we can talk about our journey, and inspire others to chase their dreams,” the band shared.

The platform provides fans with exclusive content, updates, and firsthand details about the band’s journey and upcoming plans.

“Nakakakuha rin yung mga nasign-up ng first dibs sa mga nilalabas namin. Hindi lang siya about performing, pero pati life lessons, struggles, and how to keep going despite challenges. We believe music is more than just entertainment, it’s a way to make an impact,” the band further explained.

Apart from the platform, the band also kicked off their Juaniversity Campus Tour last February. Their first stop was Pasig Catholic College on February 7, followed by Central Colleges of the Philippines in Quezon City on February 21 and Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges on February 22.

Their next performance is set for March 21 at Softnet Information Technology Center, Inc. in Mariveles, Bataan, with more schools to be announced soon.

Talking about meeting and creating memories with fans through live events, The Juans expressed their joy in experiencing the love and support of their audience up close.

“Super important sa amin ‘yung connection with our fans, and one of the best ways to do that is through campus tours and live events. Iba kasi ‘yung energy ng kantahan kasama ang audience, lalo na ang mga students na sobrang passionate sa music,” they said.

They went on: “Campus tours also allow us to inspire the youth, not just through music but through stories of perseverance and dreams. Masarap makipagkwentuhan at maramdaman ‘yung genuine love and support ng mga tao lalo na kapag nakikita namin silang nakikikanta sa amin.”

Composed of lead vocalist and keyboardist Carl Guevarra, vocalist and lead guitarist Japs Mendoza, vocalist and bassist Chael Adriano, and vocalist and acoustic guitarist RJ Cruz, The Juans are entering a new era as they mark over a decade in the industry.

As 2025 began, the band released two singles, "Pasensyoso" and "bestfriend," both exploring different love stories.

With fresh music at the start of the year, The Juans also announced plans to visit different cities across the Philippines and bring their music to international stages, allowing them to sing alongside Juanistas worldwide.

“We’re looking forward to connecting with Juanistas again,” Carl said in a previous press release. “It’s going to be a year of growth for us and our fans.”

Lead guitarist Japs Mendoza expressed his excitement about seeing fans’ reactions to their new songs during live performances.

“Iba talaga ang energy ng crowd,” Japs expressed. “We love testing new songs in our live shows and seeing how people react. If we’re excited, they’re excited. If we’re feeling something deep, they’re feeling it too.”

Speaking of new music, The Juans also shared which artists they would love to collaborate with.

“Collabs like these excite us kasi it pushes us to explore new sounds and connect with more listeners in different ways!” they said. “If given the chance, gusto namin makipag-collab kay Sarah Geronimo and James Reid!”

“Si Sarah G, kasi she's an icon. Her versatility and energy sa performance are sobrang inspiring. We’d love to create something heartfelt and powerful with her, maybe a mix of ballad and pop-rock na may inspirational message,” they added.

“Kay James Reid naman, we think it would be cool to experiment with something fresh and vibey—R&B with a touch of synth-pop. His style and artistry bring a unique flavor, so we’d love to jam and create a song na chill pero may lalim.”
