The agency representing Park Bom refuted Thursday the 2NE1 star's allegations that her former label YG Entertainment failed to pay her earnings.
On Wednesday, Bom took to Instagram to share an image of what appeared to be a complaint filed against Yang Hyun-suk, the founder and executive producer of YG Entertainment, the agency that formed 2NE1.
Bom claimed that she had not received proper payment for her activities. The post, however, was deleted and reuploaded several times on her account.
In response, D Nation, which currently manages the 41-year-old singer, stated on social media that her claims were untrue.
"All settlements related to Park Bom’s 2NE1 activities have already been completed, and there is no record that the complaint uploaded to social media was ever filed," it said in the statement, which was translated into English by K-pop news website Soompi.
"Park Bom has halted all activities and is focusing on treatment and recovery. We will do out utmost to help the artist regain her health," the company added.
In late 2024, the four members of 2NE1 — which also includes CL, Minzy and Sandara Park — reunited for a tour celebrating their 15th anniversary, along with several other appearances.
However, in August, Bom suspended her activities with the group due to unspecified health issues.
The tour included a two-night stop in Manila last November, during which Bom missed some performances during the first show, while she was unable to complete the second show.
Debuting in 2009, 2NE1 is recognized as one of K-pop's most influential girl groups, credited with popularizing the "girl crush" concept. The quartet — whose hits include "Fire," "I Am the Best" and "Come Back Home," among others — disbanded in 2016.
