P-Pop boy group 1621BC just celebrated their first anniversary earlier this week at the Viva Cafe in Quezon City. Members Pan and JM sat down with the media present at their show and expressed how grateful they are for their first year in the music industry.
1621BC is a six member Filipino boy group that was formed after the hit survival show, Dream Maker— where global boy group HORI7ON was formed.
When asked by PUSH what they learned in their first year as a group, the two members both shared the importance of patience and delayed gratification.
“Personally, patience and delayed gratification. Sacrifice muna talaga this time para mas masarap yung feeling na nadoon na kami. Mas namnamin muna namin yung hirap before we get there,” Pan shared.

“Kasi pagkatapos ng training namin nasa bahay lang po kami tapos lights out. Bawal lumabas so training everyday and focus kami sa pag trtry mag sulat ng music,” JM added.
The two hoped that for the next year of their journey they would be able to release hit songs while maintaining their own sound.
“Manifesting po for hit songs and mas mag release ng madaming original songs,” Pan wished.
Speaking on behalf of the members, Pan and JM agreed on the importance of trusting the process when one door closes. Being all eliminated from the survival show, they are grateful for the second chance given to them.
“Yung opportunity na to kasi lahat naman po kami nung natalo kami disappointed. Parang ako give up na talaga so ito talaga yung pinagpapasalamat din namin na nabigyan kami ng another opportunity na mag land sa industry na to,” JM said.
“After 21 tries, nakapasok na po talaga ako sa industry dun ko po talaga nasabi na maybe I have a chance or I have a spot in the industry,” Pan added.
As they celebrate their first anniversary, 1621BC is here to stay in the music industry.
1621BC is composed of JM, Pan, JC, Win, Migz, and DJ. They made their debut back in November 2023 with the single "Laruan."
