Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil shared his thoughts about directing a film in the future after experiencing being a producer of his two latest films. In an exclusive interview with PUSH, the Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital lead star revealed first why he wanted to become a producer.
Enrique is set to make a comeback at 50th Metro Manila Film Festival after more than a decade.

When asked why he wanted to produce his own projects, the Kapamilya star shared that there were projects that he always wanted to do.
“I just wanted to do projects that I’ve always wanted to do. Yun lang and parang nobody was making it so sige, why don’t we just produce it on my own? Get a team and hopefully we can do it,” he shared.
“Instead of trying to wait for somebody else to do it or hoping na we get to make films like these, minsan walang mangyayari pag hindi ikaw mismo gagawa,” he added.
Enrique then credited his team for always helping out whenever he encountered a problem as a producer.
“That’s why I have a good team. All of the problems, sila na bahala. But yeah, I think more than just being a producer it’s also having a say on the story and also the cast. I think you just get to be more artistic in things. It’s just fun–– it’s super fun for me. It’s not as hard–– it’s pretty challenging–– but that’s why you need a good team,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Enrique said that he isn’t closing his doors as a director just yet.
“I don’t know… Maybe a couple of scenes lang. I think I need to study for that but I’m more of–– I have an eye–– I’m more of the concept lang. How stuff goes, but directing? I’m not sure yet but definitely on my mind,” he expressed
