Vice Ganda was among the A-list celebrities who attended the first FAMAS Broadcast Awards, dressed in all black and seated next to veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez.
Bringing his star power to the awards ceremony, Vice was also seen interacting with social media giants Ivana Alawi, Viy Cortez, and Cong TV.
At the event, Vice was named Best Host for "It's Showtime," a noontime show he’s been on for 17 years.
“Maraming salamat po sa mga Madlang Pipol na patuloy na nanonood ng programa namin araw-araw. I’d like to congratulate the whole team, entire ‘Showtime’ family, and ABS-CBN. Sa GMA-7, maraming-maraming salamat po sa pagpapatuloy sa amin sa inyong bahay para magkaroon kami ng tahanan,” Vice stated during his speech.
“Sa panahon ngayon, ang hirap na pong mag-mount ng programa dahil marami nang pinapanood ang mga tao sa iba’t ibang plataporma. Pero ang ‘Showtime’ po ay nananatiling isa sa mga paborito ng Madlang Pipol,” he added.

He went on to say that despite the challenges, the show will continue, sharing, “‘Showtime’ continues to thrive kahit na napakaraming challenges na ang pinagdaanan nito. Pero dahil sa pagpapala ng Panginoon at tulong ng maraming supporters at sa pagpupursigi ng mga tao sa likod ng programang ito ay patuloy kaming nabibigyan ng oportunidad para makapagpasaya ng Madlang Pipol.”
Recognizing that viewers have become harder to please and pickier, he emphasized, “These days, it’s hard to entertain a society of high opinionated and high entitled people. Gayunpaman, hindi sumusuko ‘yung lahat ng tao na bumubuo ng programa namin kaya natutuwa ako na hanggang ngayon ay pinipili n’yo pa ring panoorin ang ‘It’s Showtime.’”
Concluding his speech with a proud tone, he said, “Thank you to the Madlang Pipol for making ‘It’s Showtime’ the most relevant noontime show now.”
