On this day in 2019, ABS-CBN released its summer station ID “Summer Is Love,” a vibrant celebration of love and happiness featuring over 200 Kapamilya stars.
The station ID was performed by Idol Philippines judges Vice Ganda, Regine Velasquez, James Reid, and Moira Dela Torre, and host Billy Crawford. It was directed by Peewee Azarcon Gonzales and choreographed by Edsel Misenas and the Autonomicass Crew.

The video, with its vibrant visuals and groovy music, featured Kapamilya celebrities such as the cast of ABS-CBN series The General’s Daughter, Kadenang Ginto, Nang Ngumiti ang Langit, among others.
But beyond 2019, ABS-CBN has built a legacy of unforgettable summer anthems. Here’s a look back at some of the most iconic ones:
One Team, One Summer (2008)
Featuring UP PEP Squad, ABS-CBN launched its summer station ID in 2008 based on the ASAP Supah Dance song “Boomtiyaya Boom.” The video featured stars such as Vhong Navarro, Sam Milby, Piolo Pascual, Gary Valenciano, Diether Ocampo Jericho Rosales as well as Kristine Hermosa, Judy Ann Santos, Anne Curtis, Roxanne Guinoo, among others.
Summer Ang Simula (2010)
ABS-CBN’s “Summer Ang Simula” featured Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Star Dreamer Yeng Constantino and Kean Cipriano. It is an original song written and composed by the ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management team. The video is inspired by the colors and images of the art technique called a collage. All of their campaigns and summer activities form different images that later become part of one final canvas that paints a better world for the Filipino. It also gives a message of unity and helping one another.
Pinoy Summer, Da Best Forever (2012)
With Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson leading the song, this station ID celebrated Filipino pride by highlighting festivals, traditions, and values such as bayanihan and camaraderie.
Kwento Ng Summer Natin (2013)
In time for ABS-CBN’s 60th anniversary, the Kapamilya station released a station ID featuring everyone’s favorite summer memories such as vacations, beaches, fiestas, bonding time with the family and most especially, summers spent watching your favorite television programs. The music video also highlighted the network's history as it was performed by Sam Milby and Angeline Quinto.
Pinasmile (2014)
Performed by then ABS-CBN’s biggest loveteam, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, collectively known as KathNiel, “Pinasmile” highlighted the resilience of Filipinos in the face of hardships, showing how people continue to find reasons to smile despite life’s challenges.
According to ABS-CBN, the campaign aimed to promote the Philippines as a unique travel destination, celebrating the beauty of its regions, rich culture, and, most of all, the genuine smiles of its people, who, even after devastating calamities, maintain a hopeful and joyful spirit.
Shine, Pilipinas! (2015)
With the theme of how Filipino expressed love, this 2015 summer station ID was performed by then ABS-CBN’s loveteam LizQuen, Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano. As per the video description, “Shine Pilipinas” serves as “a battle cry that urges Filipinos to keep the fire burning and a summer anthem that empowers to move to the beat of positivity.”
The video featured the cast of Home Sweetie Home, Forevermore, Bridges of Love, as well as Kris Aquino's adventure with son Bimby Aquino Yap and Piolo Pascual, who went scuba diving in Batangas.
Ipanalo Ang Pamilyang Pilipino (2016)
Timed with the national elections, this station ID carried a more purposeful tone by encouraging Filipinos to choose leaders who prioritize the people, while still promoting unity and civic responsibility. The video showed how celebrities used their platforms to remind Filipinos what to consider when voting for the right leaders and who to put in those positions.
Ikaw Ang Sunshine Ko, Isang Pamilya Tayo (2017)
"Ikaw Ang Sunshine Ko, Isang Pamilya Tayo" was a colorful and feel-good station ID that brought together 100 Kapamilya stars, highlighting both rising young artists and well-loved personalities, showing summer activities. The music video encouraged Filipinos to spread the sunshine through a heartwarming smile.
Just Love Araw-Araw (2018)
An extension of the network’s “Just Love” campaign, this station ID focused on everyday acts of kindness while spotlighting real-life stories of compassion, resilience, and community spirit.
Feel Good Pilipinas (2021)
Amid the pandemic, ABS-CBN delivered a hopeful message with this upbeat anthem performed by KZ Tandingan and BGYO. Despite limitations, stars participated virtually, promoting joy, resilience, and connection during uncertain times.
