MANILA -- The ASAP XP concert series kicked off its first show on Sunday with the homecoming of BINI following the group's historic performance at Coachella.
The Nation’s Girl Group received a warm welcome from the crowd at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, where the audience waved Philippine flags and cheered loudly.

“They made every Filipino proud when they stepped in the stage of Coachella,” Gary Valenciano said on stage after ASAP XP’s opening number.
“We are so proud of what you’ve done for yourselves and this country just doing what you do best. Singing your songs from your heart and soul,” Martin Nievera said.
OPM icons and longtime ASAP mainstays Nievera, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Valenciano followed with powerhouse musical sets that energized the audience inside the Big Dome.
Fans also cheered for several much-awaited duet performances featuring JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith; Kai Montinola and Kyle Echarri; Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin; as well as Alexa Ilacad and Gelo Rivera.
Meanwhile, Maki, KD Estrada, and Jarren Garcia serenaded fans with special musical numbers.

The crowd also erupted as P-pop group BGYO took the stage alongside Valenciano, known as “Mr. Pure Energy,” for the “Alas ng P-POP” production number.
Kapamilya stars said the opening show was only a preview of the performances lined up for ASAP XP, with more surprises and collaborations set for 7 p.m. show.
Viewers can watch ASAP XP every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. beginning May 17 on ALLTV, A2Z, the Kapamilya Channel, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live.
