OPM icon Martin Nievera and actor-performer Jameson Blake personally led the ticket selling kickoff for “ASAP XP,” the upcoming live concert experience of ABS-CBN’s long-running musical variety show “ASAP.”
In a lighthearted moment during the launch, Nievera joked about being among the show’s “favorites,” saying they were even asked to wake up early to help promote the event.
“We have to admit… we are the favorites of ASAP,” Nievera quipped. “That’s why they woke us up extra early para magbenta ng mga tickets para sa May 10.”
Set to happen on May 10 at the Araneta Coliseum, “ASAP XP” will feature two shows scheduled at 12 noon and 7 p.m., giving fans more chances to watch their favorite Kapamilya stars live.
Blake encouraged fans not to miss the milestone event, emphasizing the rare opportunity to witness ASAP outside its usual studio setting.
“There’s gonna be two shows… so you guys will have two chances to watch 'ASAP XP.' Don’t miss it out,” he said.
According to Nievera, the concert promises to be one of the biggest iterations of the show yet, combining performances and elements from various Kapamilya programs to showcase Filipino talent on a grand scale.
“It’s the biggest 'ASAP' we can think of. We mix up the show as much as we can para ipakita sa buong mundo yung galing ng Pinoy,” he shared.
For more than three decades, “ASAP” has been a staple of Filipino entertainment, and Nievera underscored how music, dance, and performance remain central to its legacy.

“Kung wala ang sayawan, kantahan, entertainment… I think we would die. It’s our survival and our way of thanking you for being with us for the last 30-plus years,” he said.
Blake, meanwhile, highlighted the excitement of performing for a much larger crowd compared to their usual studio audience.
“It’s going to be a change of environment… this time we’re going to be reaching a huge amount of audience. Mas exciting yung ganitong araw for us,” he added.
“ASAP XP” also marks what could be the beginning of more large-scale live shows for the brand, with Nievera hinting at possible expansions in the future.
“If we can do this in other parts of the world, why can’t we do it here? This will be the first. We’re going to start here in Araneta,” he said.
More details about upcoming shows are expected to be announced soon.
