JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith have once again graced the runway of a clothing brand’s fashion show. PUSH ABS-CBN had the chance to speak with the two, as they shared their experience.
“Very excited kami this fashion week. Super happy kami na every time may fashion week ang Bench kami ang kino-consider and I hope meron pang fourth time,” Fyang expressed during Bench Fashion Week.
She added that the presence of her family made the moment even more special.
“Siyempre ‘yung makita ‘yung family ko sa labas, kasi nandito mommy ko at kapatid ko. Very excited ako na makita sila na mapanood ako rumampa,” the Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 Big Winner shared.
JM also admitted that it still feels new to them. “Siguro sa sobrang excitement hindi na namin alam kung nakapag-prepare ba kami. Sa akin (exciting) lahat, sa buong show. Kasi it's a new world for us. Hindi naman kami sanay sa ganito, sa ganitong events. So halo-halo, excitement. Kaya, tingin ko mag-enjoy ganun nang sobra.”
Following the fashion week, JMfyang fans can look forward to the pair’s first major film together, Almost Us. JM and Fyang also opened up about the story behind the viral topless scene in the trailer.
“Actually, biglaan ‘yan eh.Wala siya sa script,” Fyang revealed.

JM shared that the scene was not meant to be suggestive, but actually reflects something personal about his character.
“Hindi siya (sa) script. ‘Yung purpose nung scene na ‘yun, hindi naman siya pa-yummy or what. Insecurity siya ni RR. So, hindi ako nagdalawang isip na i-expose ‘yung insecurities nung karakter ko doon. And ayun, para at least ma-build up ‘yung part kung bakit hindi napapansin ni Janine si RR. So ‘yun, ‘yung scene na yun, hindi siya pa-yummy,” JM explained.

Fyang added that she is proud of how JM pulled off the scene.
“Ako, happy ako na kaya niyang gawin yun. And, personally, nagulat ako na, ha? May topless ka? Alam ko, (supposedly) naki-CR lang siya sa eksena. Pero dahil nga gusto ni Direk (Dan Villegas) ng something else, (nagkaroon ng) topless scene,” she recalled.
