Following the announcement last week that Prime Video is set to release its new Filipino romance-drama series Love Is Never Gone next month, the on-demand streaming service recently unveiled its local programming lineup for the year, led by seven original Pinoy shows headlined by the country’s major stars.
In the new series headlined by Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi, the story revolves around Teo (Joshua) who plays the role of a devoted son who dreams of a better life for his family in Manila. He crosses paths and ends up falling victim to Yana (Ivana Alawi), a cunning thief known as "Chameleon," who resorts to stealing out of desperation in order to care for her sick mother. What begins in anger turns into love, forged through shared loss and sacrifice.

During the Prime Video launch event held last April 14, Joshua shared his excitement after finishing the shoot abroad.
“Actually sobrang excited kami na ipakita sa lahat ang Love Is Never Gone kasi ito yung first time na nag-shoot ng series sa Morocco and gusto namin ipakita yung ganda ng Morocco. And of course yung magandang storya na ginawa ng aming mga writers,” he said.
His new leading lady Ivana, who is half-Moroccan, admitted that their series will be very different from their previous projects. “As you can see, it’s very hot. And of course, it’s full of action. It’s full of love. And it’s very different so it’s really a teleserye to watch out for,” she added.
Love is Never Gone is produced by ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment and combines elements of romance and suspense. Joining the cast are Jameson Blake, Jane Oineza, Michael de Mesa, Epy Quizon, Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra, and Dina Bonnevie. The series is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video starting May 8, Friday.
