Disney announced that Camp Rock 3 is happening.
The studio confirmed on September 17 that the Jonas Brothers are set to return to the franchise for a third installment.
"It’s on! Today, Disney Branded Television confirmed that Camp Rock 3 has been greenlit for Disney+ and Disney Channel. Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas will return to their iconic roles. Along with Demi Lovato, they will executive produce the highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie, which began filming this week in Vancouver," Disney said in a press release.
Joe will return as Shane Gray, with Nick reprising his role as Nate and Kevin as Jason, appearing as the members of Connect 3. Maria Canals-Barrera also returns as Connie, while Sherry Cola joins the cast as Lark.
Other cast members of the show include Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, and Ava Jean.
Fans online were quick to react to the news.

Camp Rock 3's story begins "when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances."
The musical television film will be directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye.
Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis expressed his excitement to reintroduce Camp Rock to a new generation of fans.
