The Jonas Brothers are set to headline a film.
Composed of Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas, the trio are set to star in the Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie, which will premiere on Disney Plus.
An announcement video was posted by the streaming platform on Monday, January 27 featuring the Jonas Brothers members making the announcement.
Fans online were quick to react to the news.
"Can't wait to watch it!" one fan commented.
"We are so back, baby!" one fan wrote.
According to Variety, the film follows Nick, Joe, and Kevin ad they "face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families."
Jessica Yu will be directing the film. Aside from starring in the movie, the Jonas Brothers will also be producing the film.
Jonas Brothers released their self-titled album in 2007 under Hollywood Records, a record label owned by Disney.
They starred in the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock, its 2010 sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, and their own series Jonas, later rebranded as Jonas L.A. for its second season.
The band broke up in October 2013 but reunited in March 2019 with their hit single "Sucker," which topped the Billboard Hot 100. They released their fifth album, Happiness Begins, in June 2019, followed by their latest album, The Album, in May 2023.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in October 2019, the Jonas Brothers shared what inspired their reunion.
"It started as a seed planted in my brain by a few Twitter comments. There was a few comments about how badly someone wished we would come back together," Nick recalled.
"The [tweets] said, 'I wished they would come back so I could go see ['Year 3000'] live.' I started to think about that quite a bit that maybe there’s a whole new group of fans who actually were embarrassed to like the Brothers at a certain point in their life and now can actually just enjoy it because as it happens for all of us, the things we were embarrassed about when we were younger become the things we love about ourselves when we’re older. It was a beautiful thing to see," he added.
