Donny Pangilinan took to social media to share a heartfelt message as he reflected on his journey on Pilipinas Got Talent Season 7 following the show's conclusion.
"And just like that… Season 7 comes to an end. This has truly been one of the best experiences of my life," he remarked.
Donny recalled how he used to watch the show growing up and never anticipated becoming a judge one day. "I used to be the biggest Got Talent fan as a kid- binge watching auditions, amazed at the talents I’d never seen before. I never imagined that one day, I’d have the privilege of sitting in the judges’ seat," he shared.
He admitted that bringing PGT back on air was no easy feat. "This was not an easy show to pull off. Bringing PGT back on air meant everyone working double time. And in a time where showcasing talent online is easier than ever, the team still managed to find Filipino acts that were not only entertaining, but truly deserving of the big stage," he highlighted.
The actor then expressed his gratitude to the team behind the show, saying: "To the whole PGT production staff, thank you for creating a show that was both beautiful and meaningful. And thank you to ABS-CBN for giving this show another chance to shine."
He also thanked the fans for their support of PGT. "Of course to our audience… Thank you for your energy, your cheers, and for showing so much love to every contestant," he said. "To my supporters who lined up, showed up, and continued to support me online, thank you. I love you guys. You made this experience even more special."
Donny then extended his gratitude to his fellow judges (Eugene Domingo, Kathryn Bernardo, Freddie M, Garcia) and the hosts (Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros) of the show's season 7. "To my fellow judges Ms Uge, Kath, and Boss, and hosts kuya Robs and ate Mels, thank you for the joy and wisdom you brought each day. I learned a lot from you all. You inspire me, and it’s been an honor working alongside you," he stated.
He then extended his warm congratulations to Ricardo Cadavero aka Cardong Trumpo, who became the grand champion of the season. "And finally. Congratulations, Tatay Cardo! Maraming salamat po sa pagbabahagi ng inyong talento at puso sa amin at sa buong Pilipinas. This is just the beginning, Tay. The world is about to meet you," he stated.
