WAF Studios and Mentorque ProductionsMANILA -- On the released trailer of "Fleeting" on Wednesday, Janella Salvador and RK Bagatsing are both chasing their dreams when they met in Mati, Davao, where they will choose between fighting for love or taking a different flight to pursue their goals.
"Fleeting," under WAF Studios and Mentorque Productions, is an entry to 2025 Puregold CinePanalo film festival which will screen 8 original films at Gateway Cineplex 18.
The trailer introduced Salvador as Gem who is fully decided to follow her dreams. Bagatsing on the other hand, playing JC, is a surfer and cafe owner who had his life settled when he came into Mati.
Gem visited Mati for "an important agenda", which is connected to her childhood dream.
"So all along, paglipad pala talaga ang pinunta mo dito?" JC asked Gem.
"Alam mo, akala ko talaga dahil sa 'kin," he added, then they both laughed while witnessing the sunset at the sea.
They seemed to get along and the chemistry feels well-built, until the trailer discussed as well a probable conflict of the story: whether or not JC will choose to be with Gem and leave his already settled life in Mati.
"Paano kung hindi okay sa 'kin na iwan mo ang lahat para sa 'kin?" Gem's emotional voice echoed near-end of the teaser.
"Fleeting" a first for many things — Bagatsing said it is the first film that was taken in Mati, it is Salvador's first indie project, and it is also Catsi Catalan’s directorial debut.

The movie has a laid-back vibe with breathtaking cinematography, perfectly partnered with the beautiful Mati and the conflicting views of the characters.
Catalan and both the lead stars said the film tackles difficulties in having a balanced choice in terms of love and career.
"Fleeting speaks to anyone who has ever had to choose between love and career, and it doesn’t dictate a right or wrong path—it simply poses the question," the director said.
“It’s never too late para abutin ’yung pangarap mo. No matter how many times it seems hopeless to you, never stop trying. I feel like you’ll regret it more kung may what ifs ka in the future tas you didn’t go for it. So, jump in and do it," Salvador added.
“It [Fleeting] serves as a gentle nudge to remind us that true happiness isn’t always about the next destination; sometimes, it’s about soaking in the moment and appreciating where you are right now," Bagatsing said.
Salvador said it can also be a "love letter" to those who are experiencing mid-life or quarter-life crisis.
To those who are interested to watch the film, it will be screened at Gateway Cineplex 18 from March 14 to 25, with regular tickets at PHP250 each, with students, PWD, senior citizens, and Aling Puring Cardholders/Members at a discounted price of PHP200 per ticket.
