MANILA -- A barangay health worker from Bogo in Cebu won the P1-million jackpot from the "Laro Laro Pick" segment of ABS-CBN's noontime program "It’s Showtime" on Thursday, December 4.
Disyang took the "Pot" question and won the P1 million after she gave the correct answer to the question "1 + 1?"
Disyang initially wanted to get the "Li-Pot" but decided to get the "Pot" question after the "It's Showtime" hosts led by Vice Ganda urged her get what she deserves.
Disyang and her family are among the victims of strong earthquake in Cebu. Disyang said their house was ruined by the quake and they are currently staying in a tent and getting food from donations.
Before winning the jackpot, Disyang said she wanted to win for her children and to fix their house.
Disyang and the "It's Showtime" hosts turned emotional after winning the jackpot.
Aside from Disyang, other contestants or madlang players of Laro-Laro Pick also took home money after the hosts of "It's Showtime" decided to give them P1 million. The madlang players are victims of quake and typhoon from Cebu and Negros Occidental.
