Former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate and rising Kapamilya star Ralph de Leon seems to be surrounded by blessings as he gets ready to feature in two big projects, "The Secrets of Hotel 88" and "Love You So Bad," both co-produced by ABS-CBN and GMA.
Attributing his current success to the iconic house, de Leon shared, “Ang dami na kasing natupad ever since na lumabas ako ng bahay. ‘Yung brands, they trusted me. Natupad din.”
“We have our ‘The Secrets of Hotel 88.’ We're going to begin taping shortly. Dream namin ‘yun na paglabas ng bahay, sana magka-work ulit kaming lahat,” de Leon added.
He continued by expressing his excitement over his first Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) movie, “I’m gonna be part of my first MMFF movie ‘Love You So Bad.’ Grabe talaga. ‘Nung nagshoo-shoot kami, hindi namin alam kung makakapasok ‘yung movie. Nung na-announce na, grabe ‘yung feeling.”

Keeping his feet on the ground is important, the young artist said, adding that he doesn't allow his newfound popularity get to him.
“It’s important for me to stay grounded. Alam namin na grabe talaga ‘yung ibinibigay na blessings sa amin ngayon, sa buong batch namin. Lahat kami ay very blessed. You can call it fame, pero para sa amin, we really try to cherish the moment and make the most out of all the opportunities na ibinibigay sa amin,” he told ABS-CBN News.
As the blessings keep coming, de Leon talked candidly about saving money so he won't become a one-day millionaire.
“Ngayon, kung ano man ang nakukuha ko, ipon talaga. ‘Yun ang pinakaimportante na hindi maging one-day millionaire — na ibigay sa akin lahat ng blessings at work ngayon tapos biglang mawala lahat at gastusin ko lahat. I don’t want to experience that,” he said.
Stressing the value of improving oneself in order to grow, he continued, “‘Yung natutunan ko sa moderator ko nung first year high school ay excellence is not an act; rather, it is a habit.”
“Hindi ka [magiging] excellent kung isang araw mo lang gagawin ang isang bagay. You are continually improving yourself. Kailangan mong magawa ‘yun every day, and it eventually becomes a habit,” added the young artist.
De Leon, meanwhile, shared his thoughts on the current PBB and offered advice to the housemates.
“Nakaka-excite kasi ibang klase ‘yung experience na nasa loob kayo ng bahay. May collab ulit. I’m so happy,” he said.
“‘Yung pinaka-tip is magpakatotoo. ‘Yun naman po talaga ‘yung bilin ni Kuya. Lalabas at lalabas din ‘yung personality mo and who you really are inside the house,” he added.
“Sa tasks naman, just give your best. Kahit na hindi ka strong sa physical and mental tasks, as long as you give your best, people are gonna notice,” he ended.
