“I care really deeply for all the housemates,” he said in an interview held during the premiere of “The Last Beergin,” in Quezon City, Tuesday. “Shuvee, pinagdadasal kita. The truth will always come out sa dulo. Whether that is something you want or working to improve on now, sana yung intentions mo like we say in the house, sana yun pa rin.”
De Leon added he is genuinely concerned for the Kapuso star’s well-being.
“I just want what is best for her talaga. Kung ano man iyon, kung ano man tingin ng tao sa kanya ngayon, all I want is for her situation to improve,” he reasoned.
According to the actor, the former housemates continue have each other’s backs.
“Bilang pamilya, we still rely on each other. Bashing or success— shinashare namin sa isa’t isa. Kahit ngayon sa labas, di niyo nakikita, close na close pa rin kami,” he shared.
While De Leon recognized that criticism and negativity is inevitable with fame, he appealed to the public to be more discerning about information they consume online.
“Napaka hirap talaga. But kami, as artists, Pinagdalan namin to be in the spotlight, to be here sa position namin. Pinahirapan namin to be in this light. Bashing comes with it,” he explained.
“To everyone na nagbabash sa amin or nagsasabi ng masama, sana facts sinasabi. Sana napagresearchan niyo. Maayos napagsiyasat niyo— para di baseless,” he added.
