OPM artists VXON and Cup of Joe are excited to showcase their talents to a wider Filipino audience as they collaborate on the upcoming concert, GenZ Live: Bacolod, this July 18 at the SM City Bacolod Skyhall. This event is made possible by local concert promoter L-Squared Productions PH.
During the media conference for GenZ Live: Bacolod earlier this week, the two music groups shared one goal for the upcoming show–– to highlight the musicality and artistry of Filipinos.

“Yung mga collaborations like this na events, parang pinapakita lang kung gaano kadiverse yung music–– yung OPM. Kung gaano nag-e-evolve when it comes to sound–– yung mga genres and different music styles na nagtra-transcend din through the Filipino audiences,” VXON’s Franz expressed.
For Cup of Joe’s Gian Bernardino, this collaboration with VXON could help Filipinos unite not just in music but in everything else.
“We believe na yung ganitong klaseng collaborations and yung willingness ng OPM artists to participate sa ganitong klaseng pagtitipon at collaboration, it just shows yung drive namin para itaas pa ang OPM hindi lang dito sa Pilipinas kung hindi sa buong mundo,” Gian said.
“It would unite Filipinos more in a way kasi–– tulad nga ng sinabi namin kanina–– we see music as something universal and something that connects people, especially Filipinos. I think in a way, it would also unite Filipinos in other aspects that is why it’s important for us to use our platforms din,” he added.

Both groups said that they are ready to give it their all in Bacolod and that, hopefully, more Filipinos would appreciate OPM and P-Pop.
“We’re very happy and thankful na may ganitong event together with Cup of Joe. At the end of the day naman, iisa lang naman yung goal namin which is mapalaganap pa, mapaingay pa ang OPM–– ang P-Pop industry. Sa concert naman namin sa Gen Z live, we promise you guys na ibibigay namin yung 100% namin para mapakita namin sa inyo kung ano yung talento ng Pinoy, talento namin. Not just us, together with Cup of Joe,” VXON’s Patrick maintained.

Apart from GenZ Live: Bacolod, L-Squared Productions PH will be bringing P-Pop acts VXON, G22, and AJAA to Cebu for the GenZ Live: Cebu which is set to happen on July 26 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
