The event marks a milestone for the barangay as it hosts its first-ever local music festival which is an effort aimed at bringing the energy of live OPM performances closer to provincial communities.
“The Filipino music scene continues to thrive as festivals bring the energy of OPM directly to local doorsteps. Balian will host the V1BE Fest on April 24, 2026, as part of a conscious effort to bridge the gap between urban entertainment and provincial life. This initiative ensures highly engaging live music experiences reach local communities through the work of events curator, L-Squared Productions,” local event producer, L-Squared Productions said in a press release.
They added, “The Balian V1BE Fest is designed as a family-friendly space. Beyond the performances, attendees can dive into interactive games and local activities that celebrate neighborly bonds."
Agaw Agimat, a powerhouse of the '90s Manila sound, will be bringing a blend of punk, rock, and ska; Olkisrotom, an emerging indie band, will offer unique soundscapes and raw, emotive storytelling; and Decades, a premier show band, will perform a non-stop medley of beloved Filipino hits.
In an interview, VXON, dubbed as Monsters of P-pop, expressed how being part of the festival is “a way to give back to the regions that shaped them, fueled by their own childhood memories of waiting for the local fiesta just to see a live show.”
“When there’s a guest artist, the excitement is different. It feels bigger and more special. It doesn’t happen often, so when it does, more people come, and the whole community feels more alive.” VXON’s expressed.
“Giving back to the community is very important to us. It’s not just about celebrating—it’s about creating a positive impact, both mentally and physically. We want to help the community grow and hopefully inspire others to do the same,” they added.
