The Manila event is part of Gong Yoo's multi-city Asia fan meeting tour organized by his agency, Management SOOP. The tour kicks off in Yokohama, Japan on October 4, followed by Bangkok on October 10, Jakarta on October 17, and Macau on November 7, before making its way to the Philippines.
After the Manila show, the Korean actor’s fan meeting will proceed to Seoul, South Korea on November 28.
Management SOOP first unveiled THE LONG TAKE last July, describing it as the beginning of a new journey between the actor and his fans.
"The journey begins," Management SOOP wrote in its announcement.
The announcement coincided with Gong Yoo's birthday and included a handwritten letter in which he reflected on the years of unwavering support he has received from fans around the world.
"Every year on my birthday, I spend this season feeling deeply grateful for the warm wishes and unwavering support that you send me. Thanks to all of you who have been with me for so long, I naturally found myself looking back on the moments we have shared. So, this year, I have prepared a special gathering where we can meet in person and reminisce about those times together," he wrote in the letter as per English translation.
