After a historic year marked by career-defining milestones, P-pop phenomenon SB19 is preparing to give back to the fandom that has supported them every step of the way.
The five-member group, composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, recently announced the upcoming I WaS There Thanksgiving Fanmeet, a special gathering created as a tribute to their fans, A’TIN, that has continuously stood behind the group throughout its rise both locally and internationally.
In a Facebook post shared on June 13, the group revealed that the thanksgiving fan meet will initially take place in two international stops.
The first event is set for Sacramento, United States on August 8, followed by a second gathering in Yokohama, Japan on August 18.
The timing also perfectly aligns with another major milestone for the group as SB19 as they are scheduled to make history as the first Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza on July 30. Shortly after, they are also set to perform at Summer Sonic in Japan on August 15, further solidifying their growing international reach.
Given SB19’s rapidly expanding fanbase both locally and abroad, many international and Filipino fans are already expected to attend the upcoming events.
Following the announcement, social media quickly filled with excitement from fans celebrating the chance to personally connect with the group once again.
At the same time, many Filipino A’TIN have also begun expressing hopes for a Philippine leg of the thanksgiving fan meet, with some speculating that the group may be preparing something even bigger for their anniversary celebrations in October.
Others also shared wishes online for SB19 to continue expanding internationally with even more fan meetings and performances overseas.
As of this writing, further details regarding the upcoming international fan meets have yet to be announced. Still, fans are far from running out of things to celebrate.
Earlier this week, SB19 announced the release of the Wakas At Simula Global Version CD, adding yet another surprise for supporters who have been closely following the era.
“A new form. A new way to experience the music beyond the stage,” the group shared in their post.
On June 12, the group stirred fresh excitement online after teasing yet another upcoming announcement scheduled for July 1.
“MAY BAGONG ATIN,” the post wrote, immediately fueling speculation among fans eager to know what comes next.
Meanwhile, SB19 is set to headline Puregold OPM Con Generations on July 11 at the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum. Joining them for the much-anticipated concert are fellow OPM acts Ben&Ben, Alamat, Flow G, Skusta Clee, SunKissed Lola, G22, KAIA, and XONARA.
