KATSEYE is set to make their Grammy stage debut.
On Wednesday, January 21, the Grammy Awards announced via Instagram that the group will be one of the performers for its ceremony on February 1 (US time).
KATSEYE members and the fans were quick to comment on the annoucement.
"Dreams come true," KATSEYE's Megan wrote.
"Lesgooo🔥🔥 can't wait for their Grammy debut!!" one fan commented.
KATSEYE was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Gabriela" at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
The group previously took to social media to express their gratitude and excitement following their first Grammy nominations.
"We can't even believe this is real life!! Two nominations?! Thank you to the @recordingacademy we are truly humbled, and congrats to all the nominees today, you inspire us!" said a post on their Instagram page.
They also thanked their fans for being with them throughout their journey. "We wouldn't be here without our EYEKONS - words can't describe how grateful we are to you 🖤," the post added.
Composed of Sophia, Lara, Daniela, Yoonchae, Manon, and Megan, KATSEYE made their debut in June 2024 with the release of their first single "Debut." The group quickly gained traction, followed with their breakout hit "Touch" in July 2024.
The group reached another milestone in August 2024 with the release of their first extended play (EP), SIS (Soft Is Strong). To promote the EP, KATSEYE embarked on an Asia tour in September 2024, performing in South Korea, the Philippines, and Japan.
In an interview with B96 Chicago at the recent Lollapalooza, KATSEYE reflected how their music has evolved since their debut.
Member Lara shared how their sound has grown bolder over time.
"I feel like our music now is like it's a little bolder 'cause I think through the years especially like the first year during the SIS (Soft Is Strong) era, we were finding our identity as a group and like learning who we are as a collective and as one. And I think for Beautiful Chaos we kind of have a better understanding of that, like the unity we have together," she said.
She added that their latest music mirrors the group's current dynamic. "I feel like the new music is very representative of that and like the relationship we have with each other currently and just how tight, and close, and like chaotic our friendship is with each other," she pointed out.
When asked what they didn't expect in their journey after their debut, Sophia reflected on the overwhelming support they’ve received. "I think for me I didn't expect all the things we've experienced so far to come so soon and just so big, like all the love on us, on our sisterhood, and our performances, it's just we never expected it," she said.
