UNIS, the K-pop girl group with Filipino members, is heading back to the Philippines in August for a "fan concert," the event's local promoter announced Friday.
The eight-member group will stage the event, which blends the more interactive fan meeting and performance-oriented concert formats, at the New Frontier Theater on August 9, entertainment company SBTown said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
"It's going to be a night filled with energy, connection, and the unforgettable charm of 'Swicy,'" SBTown wrote on X, referencing the group's second extended play (EP) released in April.
"Ticketing details to be announced soon," it added.
The group previously visited the Philippines in October 2024 for a fan concert, during which they donated a portion of their earnings to victims of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, which caused widespread flooding and landslides across the country.
Managed by F&F Entertainment, UNIS was formed through the reality survival show "Universe Ticket."
The group includes Filipino idols Elisia Parmisano and Gehlee Dangca, as well as Filipino-Korean leader Jin Hyeonju. Rounding out the lineup are Korean members Yunha, Yoona and Seowon, along with Japanese members Nana and Kotoko.
The octet debuted in March 2024 with the EP "We UNIS."
