Taiwanese actor and singer Ken Chu addressed the rumors about his absence from the highly anticipated F4 reunion, confirming that he will not be joining the group on their upcoming concert tour.
In a video posted on his official Instagram page on December 8, the actor-singer clarified speculations claiming he was pushed out of the project for talking about the reunion before the official announcement. He explained that there was no formal agreement that put restrictions on him.
“The rumors circulating online recently have indeed become quite confusing,” Ken began his message.
He then explained his discussions with Taiwan-based recording company B’in Music, which is behind the project. “I believe there is no existing contract between me and music that side. We have always been talking in a way of expressing intentions,” he said. “What I shared online with everyone a while ago was also me discussing the intentions we have been discussing from several months ago after I formally rejected their three demands.”
“Ultimately I have to endure all the pain of giving up this so-called news,” he added.
According to him, it was only after events unfolded on social media that he realized he would not be involved. "Actually, I’m the same as everyone else. I also only realized through these things (online rumors) that I was excluded from this matter.”

Ken then made it final that he will not be reuniting onstage with the group. “So to say, for this activity, for this time, I definitely won’t participate. There’s some regret, but I must make it clear to everyone here. Hoping that everyone can understand this matter.”
He further clarified that F4 was never a group bound by legal obligations or performance rules. “F4 is a group that carries the memories of a generation,” he said. “Symbols, but it has never been a group defined by contracts. There actually never existed anything between us, who must be tied up with whom in order to do things and perform in such a situation.”
“I think everyone now has their own choice about their own life, so we allow others to be others and allow oneself to be oneself. I understand this, and I also offer my blessings. I also hope their performance this time will go smoothly,” Ken exclaimed.

Still, he expressed hope that a complete reunion would happen one day. “Well, I also hope there will be a day when the intentions of all four of us can be consistent. Then we can truly bring everyone a great event. I hope everyone still looks forward to it, because I’m quite looking forward to it, too.”
Ken also directly called out a B’in Music representative involved with the project. “Finally, it’s like this, believe in the love of music, Sister Ai. I don’t quite understand what you’re doing now. That is to say, if you don’t like me, or you think I’m not suitable for this performance, I think you could have told me directly,” he said.
“Then we can have a collaboration. Meaning you don’t need to resort to smear tactics. One way to throw dirty water. I don’t quite understand what you want me to do.”

The actor previously made headlines following the rumors that he had been dropped from the then-rumored F4 reunion for allegedly leaking information online.
On December 7, B’in Music officially announced the "F ✦ Forever City of Stars Tour," set on December 19 to 22 at the Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena, with Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, and Vanness Wu confirmed — but without Ken. Singer-actor Jay Chou and Mayday’s Ashin will also appear during the shows.
F4, also known as Flower Four, became a massive sensation in 2001 after starring in the hit Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden. The group disbanded in 2009 before reuniting in pre-recorded segments in 2020 and later surprising fans with an appearance together in July.
