Bar Boys: The Musical gives fans more chances to catch the acclaimed production as Barefoot Theatre Collaborative confirmed that two extra shows — 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM — have been added for November 29, Saturday, at the Hyundai Hall, Areté in Quezon City.
The extension, announced just days before its closing weekend, follows the surge of requests from audiences hoping to secure seats before the musical officially ends on November 30.
The musical, celebrated for its impactful look into ambition and friendship, revisits the story of four college friends, Erik, Chris, Torran, and Josh, as they navigate the challenges of law school, life, friendship, values, and faith. The all-new staging of the musical continues to draw praise, described by theatergoers and reviewers as a “a battle cry against injustice” and “a sprawling resonant spectacle” as it highlights the pressures, sacrifices, and values shaping future legal professionals.
Barefoot Theatre Collaborative’s homegrown musical also enjoyed a decorated run. Recently, the show received major honors at the 15th Gawad Buhay Awards, including Outstanding Ensemble Performance for a Musical, Female Featured Performance in a Musical for Sheila Francisco, and Male Featured Performance in a Musical for Juliene Mendoza. It also earned 13 additional nominations for its cast and team, including Outstanding Musical (Original or Translation/Adaptation), marking it as one of the standout theatrical works of the year.
Presenting a full roster of performers, the musical features Benedix Ramos as Erik Vicencio, Alex Diaz as Chris Abueva, Jerom Canlas as Torran Garcia, and Omar Uddin as Josh Zuniga.

Completing the core cast are Sheila Francisco as Justice Hernandez, Juliene Mendoza and Lorenz Martinez alternating as Paping, Nor Domingo as Atty. Maurice Carlson, Gimbey dela Cruz as Boss Mama, Gio Gahol as Atty. Victor Cruz, with Carlon Matobato and Natasha Cabrera taking on the professor and other multiple roles.
The ensemble is comprised of Ade Valenzona, Mijon Cortez, Sheena Belarmino, Dippy Arceo, Pappel, Denize Castillo, Keith Sumbi, Ammin Acha-ur, Gelo Lantaco, Daniel Wesley, Elian Dominguez—who also covers the role of Josh—Curp Adriano, Robe Zamora Dagcuta, Joshua Rico, and Leo Lapitan.

Additional members supporting the production include James Lanante covering Erik and Torran, Ian Pangilinan covering Chris Abueva, Shaun Ocrisma as cover for Atty. Victor Cruz and male professor and others, Raul Montesa as cover for Paping and Atty. Maurice Carlson, Naths Everett as cover for Justice Hernandez, female professor and others as well as cover for Boss Mama and Ate Tinay, along with Ace Polias and Aecy Abne as male and female swings.
Bar Boys: The Musical book and lyrics was created by Pat Valera, with music and lyrics by Myke Salomon, and is based on the original film by Kip F. Oebanda. It is helmed by director Mikko Angeles, with contributions from a full creative and technical team including Myke Salomon as musical director, Jomelle Era as choreographer, Ohm David and Julio Garcia for set design, Hershee Tantiado for costumes, Meliton Roxas Jr. and Jethro Nibaten for lighting design, Aron Roca for sound design, video design by Joyce Garcia, Julio Garcia for property design, and technical direction by D Cortezano.
Along with the show, the Barefoot Theatre Collaborative also released seat-view guides to help audiences choose their preferred sections. Official Bar Boys: The Musical merchandise will continue to be available exclusively at the Hyundai Hall lobby during show dates.
