Lea Salonga is set to headline a special performance at Hong Kong Disneyland as part of the resort's 20th anniversary celebration next year.
In a video uploaded by Lifestyle Asia Hong Kong on social media, the Filipino Broadway icon expressed her excitement about performing beloved classics from the studio's iconic films.
"I am happy to announce that I will be performing at Hong Kong Disneyland on January 10, 2026. Of course I will be singing your favorites from Aladdin and Mulan as well as our favorites from some of the other Disney Princesses that hold a very special places in all our hearts," she said.
Lea added: "I will see you all very soon and happy 20th anniversary to Hong Kong Disneyland."
According to the magazine, Lea's setlist will include "A Whole New World" and “Reflection," which she originally performed for Aladdin and Mulan, respectively. She will also sing "Let It Go" from Frozen and "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from Cinderella, and other Disney favorites.
Lea will be accompanied by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hong Kong Disneyland Band. The performance will be conducted by her brother, Maestro Gerard Salonga.
Tickets for the event are now available via the official Hong Kong Disneyland website.
Lea recently headlined the Manila staging of "Into the Woods" back in August. The Broadway star played the role of The Witch in the theater production.
The actress previously portrayed the same role in the Singapore Repertory Theatre’s 1990s production of "Into the Woods."
The Filipino singer is set to receive a Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, California.
"I first learned about it the day after I arrived in Manila. I still don't believe it happened. I thought, ‘Is somebody pranking me?' It’s just one of those things that you think you’re not gonna get. Wala lang, and also given that my work is mostly in New York and in Manila, it’s not something that I expect. Kung merong equivalent noon sa Broadway, 'yun doon pa. 'Coz I'm not actually a Hollywood person," she pointed out in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
"Hindi ko talaga inasahan but I'm really happy that it will happen."
Meanwhile, last March, Lea took part in a special edition of "Note to Self" on CBS Mornings, where she wrote a heartwarming letter to her 17-year-old self, reflecting on her extraordinary journey from the Philippines to the global stage as she celebrated Women's History Month.
In the segment, the Tony Award-winning actress read her letter as she reflected on her early years in the entertainment industry, her breakthrough role in Miss Saigon, and the impact she unknowingly made on future generations of Asian performers.
"It was your mother’s determination that set you on a course to make movies, host television shows, and perform in front of tens of thousands of people," Lea wrote. "All of it will prepare you to land the lead role in the West End musical, Miss Saigon."
The singer went on to describe the moment she would arrive on Broadway and how she would eventually become the first Asian actress to win a Tony Award.
"You will come to Broadway, the world you only know through watching the Tony Awards on television. You will one day, thanks to Miss Saigon, win a Tony for yourself, becoming the very first Asian actress to hold that trophy," she said.
Lea also reflected on her groundbreaking work with Disney. "You will become the first ever princess of color, singing as Jasmine in the movie Aladdin. You'll later voice another Disney princess, Mulan. Generations of children will grow up on these films," she said.
